Get started, install, scan, configure and reset
The Home Control Outlet (HCO) is the smart outlet which allows you to control each output separately. The HCO replaces your existing socket cover. HCO is the Patented, CE and NEMKO approved power socket for DIY installation. The HCO has a built-in temperature sensor and monitors the room temperature. Use the in-built temperature sensor to create a thermostat and control a heater.
Step 1. Unscrew the two screws on the front of the current power-outlet.
Step 2. Pull the lid off the power outlet.
Step 3. Connect the three pins properly to the connector.
Step 4. Use one of the two included screw-sets and screw tight the HCO to the connector.
Step 5. Connect the power-circuit again.
Step 6. The LEDs on the HCO should now blink synchronously on both A and B line. (if not see resetting)
Step 1. Start the scan in Wattle app. (settings–> Manage devices)
Step 2. Use a pen-tip and push in the hole on the front of the HCO for 1-2 seconds.
Step 3. The right(B) LED will now stop blinking.
Step 4. Home Control Outlet should now a few seconds later show up in the scan.
Step 5. Choose configure.
Step 1. Set a device name
Step 2. Add the device to a room.
Select the room you want from the list or add a new room.
Step 3. Set a function name for line A, the left line of the HCO.
Step 4. Choose Usage for line A.
Light The function is connected to a light source and is connected to the light logic of the selected room. You can control the light as part of the room, or individually in the “lights” tab in the room view
Generic The function is separated from any system logic. You can view and control the status of the function in the “generic” tab in the room view.
Climate control The function is connected to a heating or cooling device and is connected to the climate logic. You can control the climate settings from the “temperature” tab in the room view.
Usage option: Cooling or Heating device
Step 5. Set a function-name for line B, the right line of the HCO.
Step 6. Choose Usage for line B.
Light The function is connected to a light source and is connected to the light logic of the selected room. You can control the light as part of the room, or individually in the “lights” tab in the room view
Generic The function is separated from any system logic. You can view and control the status of the function in the “generic” tab in the room view.
Climate control The function is connected to a heating or cooling device and is connected to the climate logic. You can control the climate settings from the “temperature” tab in the room view.

Step 7. Press Apply when you are satisfied with configuration of HCO.
Resetting is needed if you want to connect your HCO to another gateway or if you need to perform a factory reset to remove abnormal behaviour.
Step 1. Use a pen-tip and push in the hole on the front of the HCO for 20 seconds.
Step 2. Check that both LEDs are blinking synchronously.
