Step 1. Open the cover by pressing the button and lift the cover.
Step 2. Insert the two supplied AA batteries. Observe correct polarity.
Step 3. The humidity sensor will now start looking for a gateway (a Zigbee network) that it can connect to.
Step 1. Scan for a new device with Wattle to add the sensor.
Step 2. The LED light will flash red while the sensor is looking for a gateway.
Step 3. When the light stops blinking, the humidity sensor is connected to a gateway. You now see the device in Wattle.
Step 4. Click Configure.
Step 1. Set a device name
Step 2. Add the device to a room.
Select the room you want from the list or add a new room.
Usage Defaults to generic.
Step 3. Press Apply when you are satisfied with configuration.
The sensor should be placed indoors at a temperature between 0 and 50 celsius.
Place it in the room you want to monitor the moisture level.
Humidity meter should be located on the wall so that it is easy to reach for testing the battery and maintain it.
Step 1. Open the humidity sensor cover and remove the batteries.
Step 2. Attach the sensor to the wall using double sided tape or screws.
Step 3. Insert the batteries. Observe correct polarity.
Step 4. Make sure that the humidity sensor is connected to the gateway before attaching the cover.
Reset may be required if you want to connect the sensor to another gateway or reset it to factory settings to eliminate abnormal behavior.
Step 1. Open the sensor cover.
Step 2. Press and hold until LED light flashes continuously. About 15 seconds.
Step 3. Release the button.
Step 4. The reset is completed when the LED starts blinking every second. Scan for new device with Wattle to re-use the sensor.
In case of poor or weak signal (see signal level in Wattle), try moving the sensor to another location / closer gateway.
You can also set up a signal amplifier (Zigbee) between the sensor and the gateway if the signal is poor or weak.
If the search for a gateway has timed out, you can start it again by briefly pressing once on the LED button. The smart plug will be in search mode for 15 minutes or until it finds a gateway.
