Flood Alarm
Areas of use
No need to worry about water leaks. With a smart leakage alarm you receive notifications on your phone as well as alarm sirens when it detects water. Place it on exposed areas such as under the kitchen sink in the laundry room and elsewhere with potential for water leaks.
Step 1. Remove the cover of the alarm by turning it counterclockwise and lift the plastic disc.
Step 2. Insert the supplied CR123A battery. Observe correct polarity.
Step 3. The flood alarm will now start to look for a gateway to connect to (a Zigbee network).
Step 4. The LED will flash red while the alarm is looking for a Zigbee network that it can connect to.
Step 1. Scan for a new device in Wattle. (Settings–> Manage devices)
Step 2. When the light stops blinking, the flood alarm has been found and connected to a gateway, you will now see the device in Wattle.
Step 3. Put the plastic-disc back on place(fits only in position) and put the cover back by turning it clockwise.
Step 4. Choose configure
Step 1. Set a device name
Step 2. Add the device to a room.
Select the room you want from the list or add a new room.
Settings for: Flood Detector
Usage Defaults to security.
Settings for: Temperature sensor:
Usage Defaults to generic.
Step 3. Press apply
The alarm should be placed indoors at a temperature between 0 and 50 celsius.
The leakage alarm should be placed on the floor where there is a danger of water.
It should be installed so that it can be easily reached to replace battery and for maintenance.
Always test that the leakage alarm works after assembly and replacement of battery.
Pressing the test button (next to the battery) will activate a beep.
You can perform a network test by holding the test button for at least 6.5 seconds. (tell 3 beeps).
A test message will be sent from Wattle.
Step 1. Remove the cover of the alarm by turning it counterclockwise.
Step 2. Remove the plastic disc.
Step 3. Press and hold the reset button until the LED light flashes continuously. about 15 seconds.
Step 4. Release the button.
Step 5. The reset is completed when the reset button starts to flash red every second.
You can now scan for a new device in Wattle to find the flood alarm.
If the alarm does not work when a LED reset is pressed, there is probably something wrong with the battery. Check that it is properly installed. Replace battery if it is discharged.
In case of bad signal or low signal, try to install the alarm somewhere else. You can also use a smart plug to boost the signal (signal amplifier). Or you can relocalize the gateway.
If the search for a gateway has timed out, you can restart it by pressing quickly once on the LED button.
