"Motion" to light

Control light based on a sensor activity


Go to  Automation -> Quick rules

Usage area for this rule are to trigger one or several lights (in a room) when a sensor registers activity/movement. For example, nightlights can be configured to automatically light up when movement are registered in night-time.

  • Select a device
    • Magnet, motion etc.
  • Choose action type
    • Single light
    • Room light
  • Set dimming and/or color (if available)
    • Add more actions if needed
  • Click next
    • Time constraint, schedule when rule is active.
    • Delay, device to turn off after defined time if no further activity.

Light will now be triggered by sensor-activity depending on your configuration.
